Literature Text

tomorrow, i will rip this up into a million pieces and throw it to the wind.

but today i will tell you that no, i didn't miss you - what made you think of that? and you will pretend that didnt hurt and smile like you knew all along, and i will pretend my liar's tongue didnt just turn black and fall out.

today i will hiss and kick and spit fire at you and hope you wouldnt hear the flutter-click of the camera in my head, memorising the sunflares in your eyes.

(and when you turn your back, i will blow kisses and pretend you will catch them and hold them to your heart.)

today i will hide my sharp intake of air as a cough when i realise that after four years, high school and braces, you are rougher and taller but still here and cynical and blue-eyed and oh.

today i stopped mid-sentence, mid-breath, mid-heartbeat and remembered this feeling.

yesterday, i picked up a piece of lined paper and started to write.
i just realised this can be read backwards.

'i may not make it through the night,
but i won't go home without you.'
- Maroon 5

holy crap i havent written in a very long time.

(i really hate keywords.)

Genius. Just... I'm out of words, but this is genius. The melancholy and bitterness seep from this, but in a surreal way.
